This series is inspired by cheerful Eastern Bluebirds that are regular visitors in my backyard garden.  I keep nesting boxes for them and look forward to seeing them return to build nests in the spring and help their fledglings take flight.  The Bluebird sculpture is created with many polymer clay art techniques. The Blue Bird series feature blue flowers, a cap of blue butterflies, as well as a breast of transparent flowers laid over red gold leaf, giving the bird his trademark rust colored chest.  The remaining two Blue Bird sculptures are in progress.
