All styles and techniques of polymer clay art come together with miniaturized sculptures that can be worn as pins. All the attention to detail found in my full size sculptures are illustrated in these diminutive works of art. I have lightened the weight of the larger pieces with aluminum armature so that they can be worn on most anything. The photo above shows matching beadwork. Any piece shown can have a beaded bracelet made to match. A bracelet like the one shown above is $45. It is elasticized to slip over the hand. The Gold Fish pin shown is 2” from nose to fin, but is NFS. Other Gold Fish shown below are available for sale. |

A young gecko features transparent clay mixed with various mica and pigment in a glass technique. Delicate transparencies in cream and flowers on underside; vines, leaves and flowers on topside. Bulbous toes of gold mica. Similar geckos coming soon that will be available for sale.

From concept and design to finished sculpture… I begin with small sketches and make decisions about my subject such as how stylized it will be, the pose, where armature will be needed, and its overall size. Next I decide on colors and patterns. This will dictate which canes will be needed or if a new cane must be created to execute the design. I use a firm white clay as the base to give the sculpture strength and cover it with slices and sheets of very colorful clay to create the desired pattern. Each piece is then hardened by heat, and sanded until polished smooth, and, finally, coated with a varnish to seal. This is the same process I use to create my full size sculptures.
